The world would be so serious without kids and their awkward social skills

Today at the airport I was waiting for my baggage when I made eye contact with a little boy maybe 5 or 6 years old and I smiled. He walked straight over to me and we had the following conversation:

Boy: What are you?
Me: What?
Boy: What are you?
Me: (thinking I misheard him) Who am I?
Boy: Are you a boy or a girl?
[I laughed while his shocked sister (maybe?) called him back over to her]
Boy: Are you Alex?
Me: No...
Boy: Because you look just like her [at which point his sister grabbed him and pulled him away]

I laughed again and smiled at his sister, at which time his little brother, maybe 3 years old, walks over and says, "Hi! What's your name?"
I told him, but barely before his sister grabbed him and pulled him away too.

We then acted like nothing had ever happened...in typical airport fashion.

I love kids!
